The Floristry group creates beautiful sustainable wreaths

Over two sessions the Cam, Dursley & District Sustainable Floristry group created a beautiful wreath each. Our aim was to be as sustainable as possible.

We sourced the fir from Upthorpe Christmas Trees. This came in bundles of mixed, fresh branches. (We need much less next year). We added greenery sourced from our gardens and gorgeous eucalyptus from Cornwall. The pine cones came from Wales. The metal rings were covered in moss sourced from Norfolk.

Rather than buy oranges dried in China, Danielle dried them. We strung chillis and star anise. Artificial berries were added. We'll be reusing as much as possible next time.

Our green wreaths were so beautiful in themselves and with the extra embellishments, they looked stunning. It was an intensive morning, but mulled juice and Christmassy nibbles helped us through.

It proved a challenge to take a photo of all the wreaths!
