The u3a Climate and Nature Group welcomes anyone interested in finding out more about the challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss and what we can do about it.
The objectives of the group are:
- To encourage individual and community activities aimed at sustainability.
- To provide a forum for sharing ideas and pooling knowledge.
- To make it easier for members to get reliable, objective advice.
Typical topics for our meetings are:
- Reducing energy use at home.
- Reducing emissions from transport.
- Increasing local biodiversity.
We also plan to visit local projects involving renewable energy or helping nature.
This may lead to participation in local community initiatives on sustainability and the environment.
